Ed the facilitator
Ed is a lead facilitator with The Forward Institute on their innovative and pioneering responsible leadership Fellowship Programme, focusing on organisation and system change. He has worked with dozens of very Senior Leaders from Government, Business and the Third Sector challenging their assumptions, nurturing their talents, and inspiring their radical actions.
Ed’s deft, laidback but highly skilled and deeply experienced approach to creative facilitation is respected, valued and sought after. He deploys a range of techniques from ‘wilful blindness’ to ‘action learning’ on leadership programmes, at events and in workshops for clients, from Board level events down.
Ed’s blend of sharp provocation and warm facilitation draws out a desire to be the version of ourselves that’s best for the world.
Ed left our Board in no doubt as to the urgency of climate change action, and the essential role of technical education and apprenticeships in greening the jobs landscape and boosting the national economy in the process. His facilitating style was well-judged for a Board of high profile employers – Ed was provocative when needed to keep the conversation focused, allowing plenty of space for all the voices in the room and always bringing them back to what action they can take as a group to move the dial.
